Washington Examiner: Democrats try and fail to delay Obamacare replacement hearing

“Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee rejected an effort by Democrats to postpone for one week a hearing on the GOP plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, presented a motion to delay the hearing, saying lawmakers should have more time to review the measure that GOP House leaders announced Monday.
“Incredibly for legislation of this magnitude, this particular plan we’re considering today has never had a single public hearing anywhere,” Doggett said.
Doggett also slammed Republicans for failing to introduce an Obamacare replacement over the last seven years that they have spent promising to repeal the law should they win the White House.” Read full article here
