CBS Austin: Texas lawmakers react to House’s first public impeachment hearing

U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, was one congressman paying close attention, watching from his Washington, D.C., office. Doggett, whose district includes Central Texas, says Wednesday’s hearing confirmed his beliefs the president committed impeachable acts.

“Unfortunately, this president has engaged in extortion and bribery. We have dedicated public servants out there who are providing this testimony. They have no ax to grind, but to tell the truth,” Doggett said.
